WhoNews supports Charity Compaid
The event will include panel discussions with audience Q&As, a live debate, charity auction, special screenings, signings and stalls.
Compaid, the leading charity providing services to disabled people in the South East of England. For over 25 years Compaid have been supporting thousands of people to achieve their aspirations and get more out of life. Through computer skills training, accessible transport, and work experience opportunities, Compaid is providing disabled people with a springboard to realise their talents and abilities.
Stephen Elsden, Chief Executive of Compaid, said, "Compaid is delighted to be receiving this support from Paul Gee and his WhoNews app. The money raised from this campaign will help to train many disabled people in computer skills, not least how to access apps and tablet technology to improve their daily lives."

Big Blue Box 2 T-Shirts/ Guest Update

Big Blue Box T-Shirts are now available to order in advance of the popular one day convention for fans of Doctor Who at Trinity Theatre, Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
On the 16th March 2013 from 10.45am - 7.15pm Big Blue Box 2 will mark the 50th anniversary of everyone’s favourite time traveller. Details on how to order the T-Shirts are available via the Facebook link below.
The event will include panel discussions with audience Q&As, a live debate, charity auction, special screenings, signings and stalls.
Guests (subject to work commitments) include Louise Jameson (Leela), Richard Franklin (Captian Mike Yates), Dan Starkey (Strax), Simon Fisher-Becker (Dorium Maldovar) and from inside the Daleks, operators Cy Town and Nicholas Pegg. They’ll be joined by writers and commentators including Simon Guerrier, Nigel Fairs, Richard Bignell, Will Howells and Jonathan Morris, along with Doctor Who composer Mark Ayres and writer Andrew Smith.
The day will conclude with a special performance of Toby Hadoke’s sell out Edinburgh show, My Stepson Stole my Sonic Screwdriver.
All proceeds from this event will go to Compaid, a local charity supporting disabled people. Registered Charity Number 1064160.
